La Villette Charleroi has communicated the date for the 2nd leg of their semi-finals in the European Champions League. Villette will receive Ochsenhausen (Germany) on April 26th.
The first leg will be played on March 27th. |

At the Belgian Championships, last sunday, the Golden Rackets have been awarded as well. These rackets are awarded to youth players between 12 and 18, based on their (inter)national results.
This year, the federation has elected Emilien Vanrossomme and Jennifer Tasia.

The Pro Tour in Chili has been cancelled. The event had to take place from 7th till 11th april, but the country has suffered a severe earthquake. The Olympic Center, which would host the Pro Tour, was damaged too heavily. All sources of the South-American country are now used to help the people of Chili and the sports infrastructure will be repaired in a later phase. |

Etoille Basse Sambre has won a second time from Vedrinamur and therefore wins the playdowns. EBS won 1 against 6 away. Both clubs from the province of Namur will be playing again in the Superdivision next season.

Karen Opdencamp has rewon her title after being defeated last year in the final by Laurence Junker. This time, Opdencamp was stronger as she overcame Junker in the final with 4 against 2.
A big upset in the quarterfinals of the Men's Championship: Jean-Michel Saive lost 4 against 3 from the young Lauric Jean. The 17-year old Lauric even reached the finals, where he faced Yannick Vostes. Eventually, Vostes won his first title after winning 4-0. |

The Antwerp club of Sokah has decided to challenge the decision of the Belgian Federation concerning the forfeit of La Villette against Deinze. Sokah feels disadvantaged against Deinze to reach the semi finals. |

Both the Belgian men and women lost their matches in the Joola European Nation League. The men's team (Vostes, Rogiers and Vitta) lost 1-3 against Italy. The ladies (Junker, Tasia and Georis) went to Slovenia, but came back empty-handed.

20-year old Xu Xin (China) won his very first Pro Tour. He beat compatriot Ma Lin in the final in Kuwait. Xu Xin had lost his quarter finals against another compatriot, Wang Liqin, but remained in the tournament when Wang's racket didn't pass the solvents-test and Wang was disqualified.
Liu Shiwen was the best in the women's competition.
Our compatriot Jean-Michel Saive left Kuwait in the second round. Saive (ITTF-55) lost his match against Tang Peng (ITTF-25) from Hong Kong. Yannick Vostes left one match earlier after losing against Mizutani from Japan.
Benjamin Rogiers was eliminated in the second round in the U21-series. He was beaten by Sanil Shetty from India.
Vostes and Rogiers lost their first match of the main tournament in the doubles series against the French duo of Lebesseon/Mattenet. |
